"I am Willing"

Almost 3 months ago to the day I prayed a prayer of humility, asking God to humble me and do whatever he needed to do to get me where I needed to be. Several minutes after that prayer my laptop spontaneously crashed for seemingly no apparent reason, right before the beginning of Fall Semester.

I showed it to anyone and everyone who was tech savvy enough to diagnose it, but it was a mystery crash; even the geek squad couldn’t analyze it saying, “yeahhhhh…we’ve never seen anything like this before.”

…That’s when you know it’s bad haha!

Anyway, I went these last few months without it and got by just fine. In fact, it’s been almost refreshing not to have it around. I learned much about necessity and how to become a lot more reliant on God. However, these past couple weeks have been crucial as the semester is dwindling to a close and final projects and papers are being issued.

Less than an hour ago I sat on my bed, laptop before me, completely humbled before Him and said, “God I could really use this right now. If you are willing you will fix it and provide this for me…”

Minutes later my laptop rebooted and logged on, completely unaffected by anything. Even all the tabs I had up when the system crashed were restored back to their natural state when I opened my web browser, as if nothing had ever happened at all.

“…A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean.’ Filled with compassion, Jesus reached down and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.” Mark 1:40-42

God is willing when we are humbled. It’s amazing what praying by the scriptures can do for our lives, even the little stuff…God cares about it all. The key is that we must be willing to sacrifice whatever it takes, and let God take it. I am learning this every day.

Thank you Lord for being a God who is ever teaching and always providing :-)

On that note…it’s good to be back!!
